Advanced Medication Awareness

Overview

This advanced medication awareness course is designed for team leaders and senior or
experienced carers whose role involves assisting with medication. Training focuses on the
importance of recording and reporting the administration of medicines and covers other
ways in which the risk of errors can be reduced. Delegates will learn about different types of
medication and how they are administered and disposed of correctly. This course ensures
that delegates are fully prepared to support patients and administer their medication safely
and accurately.

 Assessment  

Advanced Medication Awareness takes around 3 hours and delegates will be expected to
engage in several group activities. Our experienced trainers will be on hand to help guide
delegates through these sessions and a certificate will be awarded upon completion.
