CARE CERTIFICATE IN-HOUSE
TRAINING

Overview – The Care Certificate, providing skills for health care and social care workers.

It is expected that new members of staff entering the care sector achieve the competency
underlined in the Care Certificate. The duration of training varies depending on each
delegates’ circumstances, although the Care Certificate takes, on average, 12 weeks to
complete.
The course covers the 15 care standards underlined by Health Education England and Skills
for Care and is a replacement for the Common Induction Standards and National Minimum
Training Standards. The Care Certificate was created as a set of guidelines that supports and
protects patients, care workers, care providers and anyone they may employ. By developing
the skills needed to work in the health social care sector, the care certificate ensures that
the worker is adequately trained to provide the best care to their patients.
We are now offering an all-in-one in-house training week in which each of the 15 standards
of care are covered in detail so that staff are best prepared to complete their assessment. In
this week, the 15 Standards enshrined in the Care Certificate are covered over a period of 5
days, with a recap and assessment completed on the fifth day. This course provides care
professionals with high quality course material for the delivery of quality care and support in
the healthcare sector.

 Assessment  

Delegates will be expected to engage in several group activities and work through targeted
criteria to meet the suggested requirements of the CQC care certificate standard.
Throughout the course our experienced trainers will be on hand to help guide candidates
through these sessions.
